Quintus McDonald – I Am Recycling

Quintus McDonald, I Am Recycling

Born December 14, 1966 to Rase and Christine McDonald in Rockingham, NC, Quintus moved to Montclair, NJ, at an early age, living between the two areas until a final move to Montclair in the middle of 4th grade. As a senior at Montclair High School, Quintus was a consensus All-American in football.

Quintus decided to take his athletic and academic talent to Penn State University upon accepting a 5 Year, to play 4, full scholarship. After being drafted in the 6th Round by the Indianapolis Colts, Quintus quickly made his mark earning the Ed Block Courage Award in 1991 while with the Colts. Unfortunately, Quintus’ football career was cut short by injury while with the San Francisco 49ers in 1993.

Quintus accepted the call of Ministry in his life and preached his initial sermon on December 12, 2004. While serving in the Ministry at the Salvation Army in Indianapolis Quintus was sent to work with the formerly incarcerated and the hard to employ.

Quintus founded I-AM-Recycling, Inc. as a ministry to help others. The organism works from the mindset of EMBRACING, EDUCATING and EMPOWERING disenfranchised men and women within the communities we build relationships with. Quintus received the “Angel Award” from his Mentor of many years, Mrs. Sharon Elliot Bynum, given for volunteer service in the Durham North Carolina community by CAARE Inc.

Quintus is married to his bride of 5 years, Mrs. Karen Smith McDonald who serves as a Deacon at Breakthrough Life Ministries, where Quintus serves as Elder and Associate to the Pastor. Karen and Quintus have two sons Daveon McDonald and Sean Whitaker as well as 1 Grand Daughter Imani A’mour McDonald. Quintus recently accomplished another childhood goal by graduating from The Pennsylvania State University with his Bachelors Degree in Tele-communications.
